shortys diner is the best!! I love it!! went again today and I got a veggie omelette and a biscuit and home fries. FANTASTIC!! The last time i went a few months ago, i got the blueberry pancakes and those were also FANTASTIC. I love the service here as well...it is quick and the waiters and waitresses all seem like family. they all seem to enjoy their jobs and one of them says she is 28 and has been working there since she was 17 and loves it!! That's such a good sign of a great business!!

Nice breakfast spot in Williamsburg. Always busy. I think the retro old time diner feel is what brings people in.

OMG! This is the BEST DINER EVER! The restaurant is so cute and the waitresses are amazing so kind and friendly and so sweet and fast and best service! Absolutely amazing incredible they amazing unbelievable and I only been here once I am definitely coming back here again again! Make sure you give the staff lots of tips and the food is absolutely fantastic made to order and so yummy and fresh made and delicious it is so cute how decorated it is and I come down to Williamsburg a lot and come with friends family for any occasion! Love it so much amazing the BEST! Deserves award for best restaurant ever and mind blowing and unbelievable place and food and service! Good morning or early afternoon place in the old diner style. Nothing fancy, just good food at a reasonable price (especially considering it's tourist town location). Be prepared for a short wait at peak hours, especially on weekends.

Local diner where all the locals gather to eat and have some food. We were seated at the bar and a very known man sat beside me asking me where I lived, to which I replied. He said he had lived there for five years and then built his own house and is happier at his own house except that he doesn't get any traffic so he comes here to socialize. He seemed happy socializing and was wandering about talking with the locals and with the staff so we knew he was defo a regular. He then made his way back to us and said his grandchildren were at his house and he surely hoped that they would be gone by the time he returned! We all laughed at that! We have been to this diner before but were stuck in a corner booth w/o service so it was refreshing to have fast service and to be next to a regular patron. Hubby was steered towards an omelette so he got the cuban omelette while I got Shorty's special which is three eggs, Virginia ham, a biscuit, and hash browns. Yummy. We had gone to the Scandinavian festival at the King of Glory church beforehand so that's why we ate breakfast here. Shorty's is clean and spacious for all the customers who visit here, plenty of people.

Came here at 11am after the farmers market for the 1st time. Awesome little diner but man it was packed. Had the breakfast sampler. It had the right amount of everything you could want for breakfast! I had really good service and food.

One of many breakfast diner places in Williamsburg. The food is good and served quickly. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. The decor and furnishings are a little dated and could use a little brightening up. But the food is tasty and the service pretty responsive.

This place was PACKED and the service was AMAZING, typical diner style menu but higher quality diner food. Wish there was one in Richmond because I'd love to go back!! Pancakes were HUGE, as an adult you only need one, the biscuits and gravy were creamy and delish, French fries were boardwalk style and very crispy, breakfast burrito was fantastic as well! We had a feast! Highly recommend
